Our DMS @erica.hilario has never heard of an ice cream potato until she visited Boise a week ago and she did not know what she was missing in her life. Head over to @westsidedrivein and order the ice cream potato among other choices listed on their vast menu. Be prepared to have a sugar overload - may be split the frozen spud with a good friend.
Although our DMS @erica.hilario fell for some bad jokes by the river guide, she did have an amazing time hitting the rapids, floating on the river, and soaking up that hot Idaho sun! Idaho is known for its whitewater rafting opportunities and adventures, so head on over to @bearvalleyrafting for a half or full day of river rafting on the Payette river.
Boise, ID has a range of cuisine choices from Italian to drive in classics. @eater recommended Saint Lawrence Gridiron in downtown Boise primarily for their brisket platter that boasts a portion of their smoked brisket, greens, house cornbread and house pickles. Their salads are bursting with summer flavors that accompany the southern heat infused flavors of their Ploughman’s fried chicken dinner. All in all, an enjoyable experience - minus the slammed kitchen for dinner on a late Friday evening.
