AT THE TABLE

“To know a community is to know its food.”

Gil Marks, food writer & historian

When I am immersed in the cuisine of a community or its city, I come away with a profound knowledge of history, stories, and awareness. What makes a meal so meaningful? Where do locals gather together mid-week? What places share secrets and who is whispering those tales? From traditional soups that warm Icelanders throughout the coldest evenings (found at the Reykjavik domestic airport) to matzoh ball soup at Katz Deli on Ludlow, At The Table explores all food – here are some places that I’ve enjoyed! For the full experience, please choose the photograph!
